Stuart Plate Members Rules and regulations

The Stuart Plate Fishing Tour can review all rulings due to circumstance.


* Event - Stuart Plate ice fishing trip, tackle talk, open, mania, classic, and the Christmas party *


*Events will be placed in importance * All Stuart Plate Tournaments, Ice fishing Trip, Tackle Talk and the Christmas Party


*Your Event seniority goes in order of event importance for that calendar year


    1. If you haven't fished any tournaments or haven't shown any interest in the Stuart Plate events * See events at top of page * in one year from your last active event your spot can t be held.


    2. If you only fish one tournament and don't make any attempt to fish any other tournaments, then your spot can't be held for the following year. (You will be placed on a waiting list) * Exceptions are due to circumstance - work, illness and so on you get the picture *


    2a. If this is repeated the following year, your spot can't be held no exceptions.


    3. 14 guys maximum to fish in the Stuart Plate Fishing Tour. If you can't make a tournament, then your spot can be filled by someone on the waiting list for that current tournament, providing that we have enough boats. We don t want to triple up if we don't have to.


    4. If you are placed on the waiting list, you will be placed in order of your last active event. The guy with the most resent active event will get the call first.


    4a. If you haven't been active in a Stuart Plate event for 2 years, then you will be removed from the waiting list. * No exceptions *


    4b.If you want to get involved or back involved with the Stuart Plate Fishing Tour, your name will be placed on the waiting list and you will be called when a spot opens up. The Stuart Plate Fishing Tour can review who gets involved.


    Stuart Plate Tournament Rules and Regulations

    Point Standings how they work:

    The total number of inches equals your points
    Eg. 55.5 inches of equals 55.5 points

    Team Points and Personal Points:

    Team Points: Determines Teammate of the Year. That is the total amount of points that you get with your team.

    Personal Points: Determines Angler of the Year. The bottom 4 people will go for the Mike Small Sportsman Award. (HONEST FISHERMAN OF THE YEAR)
    The year end prizes will be handed out in order : AOY, MSSA, 2nd and 3rd place in the standings and biggest fish in each category. Muskie, Walleye, Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass

    You must fish at least 2 Tournaments to qualify for any of the 9 year end prizes

    Tournament rules

    1. We draw names the night before the tournament
    2. The Non-boater with the least amount of personal points draws first and so on
    3. You cannot fish with the same partner in back to back tournaments
    4. As for the Classic you might be placed into teams so we don t have people competing for prizes in the same boat
    5. 5 fish limit. Top 5 fish count
    6. All fish must be over 10 inches
    7. You must measure from tip to tip-closest ½ inches (eg.12, 12.5, 13, 13.5)
    8. You must record everything you catch over 10 inches and who caught what
    9. Tournament runs from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm
    10. You must come in for lunch at 12:00 pm minimum of 1 hour
    11. The total weight will determine the winner
    12. The total length will determine your points
    13. All Bass, Walleye, Muskie and Pike count.
    14. If there s a tie for Big fish. You will split the money
    15. You must return the ruler, scale, pad and pen before giving your scores to the scorekeeper
    16. If you forget to weigh your fish, it doesn t count
    17. In case of bad weather - the tournament has to run a minimum of 5 hrs anything less the tournament will be canceled ( a make up date can be discussed)
    18. No live bait
